Virada Drums manager and percussion teacher Carl Dixon will be teaching group pandeiro classes online. A four week session begins March 26.
Thursdays, 5:30-7pm Mountain time
March 26- Samba and choro
April 2 – Samba de Roda and Partido Alto
April 9 – Forro rhythms
April 16 – Recap and requests
These classes will be offered live online with Zoom. You will need the Zoom app (free at https://zoom.us/ or ZOOM Cloud Meeting in mobile app store) active on a computer, tablet, or phone with internet. You should have a pandeiro of any kind to play during the class.
To reserve a spot, purchase at least one hour before the class begins. A link to the Zoom meeting will be emailed to you around 5pm.
$70 for all four classes or $20/class
Theses classes are for new and experienced pandeiro players, and will cover my approach to fundamentals, technique, musical applications, playing songs, and practice strategies to improve. You’ll get play-along tracks and musical charts to play along with and access to a video recording of the class for future reference.
Carl also teaches pandeiro and percussion classes and lessons online via video chat (Zoom, FaceTime, Skype). Contact to schedule a lesson.
