Great Rio-style surdo mallets.  Solid wood handle wrapped with dark blue upholstery fabric. The wood core and handle provide a good weight for a full low sound. These mallets provide a strong rhythmic attack for surdos, especially well suited for skin heads but also can be used on nylon and napa heads.

Three sizes available
Large is about 14″ long with a 2 inch head – for 20″ and larger surdos
Medium is about 13″ long with a 1.5 inch head- for 18″-20″ surdos
Small is about 14″ long 1 inch head- for 14″-18″ surdos

Medium and small mallets are often used in pairs for third surdo.
