Large iron bell handmade by Barravento

Bell measures 9″ x 4.5″ at the mouth and 12″ long. The handle screws into the bell. With handle attached, the bell is three feet long. Aprox. 8 lbs.

Very large and very loud. Traditionally played in large maracatu ensembles, along with many alfaia and caixa, and abé (xekere).

This is a natural material, so pitch and tone vary slightly.

Synthetic stick included (1″ diameter, 12″ long)
