Virada Drums manager and percussion teacher Carl Dixon will be teaching group pandeiro classes online.

Thursdays, 5:30-7pm Mountain Time

March 26 – Samba and choro
April 2 – Samba de Roda and Partido Alto
April 9 – Forro rhythms
April 16 – Recap and requests

These classes will be offered live online with Zoom. You will need the Zoom app (free) active on a computer, tablet, or phone with internet. You should have a pandeiro of any kind to play during the class.

To reserve a spot, purchase at least one hour before the class begins. A link to the Zoom meeting will be emailed to you around 5pm. 

$20/class, $70 for all four classes

Theses classes are for new and experienced pandeiro players, and will cover my approach to fundamentals, technique, musical applications, playing songs, and practice strategies to improve. You’ll get play-along tracks and musical charts to play along with and access to a video recording of the class for future reference.
