Large iron bell handmade by Barravento

Bell measures 9″ x 4.5″ at the mouth and 12″ long. With handle attached, the bell is three feet long.

Very large and very loud. Traditionally played in large maracatu ensembles, along with many alfaia and Caixa, and abé (xequere).

This is a natural material, so pitch and tone vary slightly.
