Gope Zabumba, 16″
16″ x 20cm wood shell
Napa head on top, plastic head on bottom
8 tuning rods
This zabumba is a smaller option. Good for smaller players or less volume. Great for all styles of forró music.
The Zabumba is used along with the triangle to play rhythms from the North East of Brazil, including baião, forró, xote, xaxado, quadrilha, and more.
This drum is played with a padded mallet on the top head and a “bacalhão” – a thin stick made from nylon or bamboo – on the bottom head.
